Every day we are presented with new information related to COVID-19, its impact on the markets, tax deadlines, and our daily lives. We’re all in this together.
As business partners and, more importantly, as people doing our best to navigate this unprecedented time in history, I want to let you know that our PRIME team is here to help each one of you through this tough time. We take our responsibility of helping you manage your financial lives seriously, and if we can give you one less thing to worry about…we would.
As the Coronavirus expands its footprint in the U.S., we want to apprise you of the preparedness that our office has in place to ensure seamless continuity of operations and services. We need to make sure that we are safeguarding our employees and clients, as well as ensuring our fiduciary duties continue to be performed without disruption. We have taken the following actions:
Our Team is working remotely and available
We have created a remote HUB so that all mail and printing can continue on time.
You can continue to mail to all the same address that we normally use.
Our phones are monitored and/or forwarded so that we can be reached
We are fully up and running with ZOOM (video conferencing) so that we can interact as needed.
As you may already know, the Federal and State tax deadlines have been extended to July 15th, 2020. You do not need to file an extension to take advantage of this. If we have your tax information already, we will continue to process it. If you upload or mail it to us, we will process it in a timely fashion. In the next few weeks we will continue to reach out to you see your preference on how to process your tax filing. REMINDER: Any money that is owed does not have any interest or failure to pay penalty until after 7/15/2020.
We sincerely hope that you and your families are remaining vigilant and safe. Together we will get through this. Please do not hesitate to let any person in our firm know how we can help make this chaotic time any easier.
And for our policyholders, recent amendments to insurance and banking regulations extend grace periods and give you other rights under your life insurance policy or annuity contract if you can demonstrate financial hardship as a result of the novel coronavirus (“COVID-19”) pandemic. These grace periods and rights are currently in effect but are temporary, though they may be extended further. For more information, please visit the Penn Mutual site for COVID-19 news and updates for policyholders. Please contact us with any questions. We are here to help.
